patched debian woody kernels

These kernels have been tested to stop the uselib() kernel root exploit.

http://isec.pl/vulnerabilities/isec-0021-uselib.txt

These kernel packages have been installed and appear to function well, but they are still rather new and come with no warranty. Feel free to give them a try, and let me know if you experience any problems.

make sure you have these packages installed:
ash cramfsprogs initrd-tools

kernel-image-2.4.18-simple.be-386_1.1_i386.deb md5sum: 64c4336284df6a5d7fbba5a8a1d266e0
kernel-image-2.4.18-simple.be-686_1.1_i386.deb md5sum: a3a1628be2228531694476e2faf57e92

howto install:

1) wget url
2) install it with   dpkg -i file.deb
3) follow the directions
4) confirm that your bootloader is happy
5) reboot
